Having made so much of an effort to please other people in recent weeks you must now demand that they give you the space to follow your own goals for a while. If they offer to help you, that’s nice, but insist on going it alone.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You may not want to be the centre of attention but like it or not the eyes of the world are on you. You don’t have to do anything special though – just be yourself and let others see how you can make difficult tasks look so easy.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Set aside some time over the next 24 hours to think about your philosophy of life. You may be of the opinion that you don’t really have one but there is certainly something that guides your actions, and that is what you need to examine in detail.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

The fact that someone in a position of power expects you to follow their lead does not mean you have to. Cancer is a cardinal sign and not given to taking orders from people who you either don’t know well enough or who you simply don’t respect.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Go your own way and do your own thing today but be aware that you may have to return to base quickly to deal with some sort of crisis. Make sure friends and loved ones can get hold of you easily, because your leadership skills will be in demand.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

A creative endeavour may be going well but it will also bring challenges between now and the weekend. Whatever they may be you have what it takes to overcome them and win others round to your way of thinking – and, let’s face it, you’re usually right.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

If you keep pushing at the door it will swing open sooner or later, maybe even today. The sun in your sign gives you all the power you need to keep going, even when so-called wiser heads say you have already gone too far.
