The Golden Globe winner—who stars as Sydney Adamu on the show—may have raised eyebrows when describing her friendship with costar Jeremy Allen White as “intimate,” but she’s insisted that her relationship with her castmate is strictly platonic. 

As for who she does have romantic feelings for? Her relationship with comedian Colin Burgess was revealed in September 2022, when Colin, shared photos to Instagram of him attending the Emmy Awards alongside the Bottoms actress. Captioning the carousel, he wrote, “Congrats to my gf Ayo on presenting her first Emmy.”

Though the duo have since split, Ayo isn’t sharing the details. 

“I’m not going to show you guys my personal life, because you’re so weird about my work life,” she explained to The Wall Street Journal. “People are often surprised by my boundaries because I am very open. But I’m also the type of person where if you cross it, you’ve crossed it for life.”
