LAKEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As part of the 2026/2027 Friction Series, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) welcomes acclaimed artist, Julian Glander, to our community. RMCAD’s Visiting Artist, Scholar, and Designer (VASD) Program hosts Glander’s “choose your own adventure” style artist talk on Tuesday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m. MT (doors open at 5:30 p.m. MT) at the Mary Harris Auditorium on RMCAD’s campus.

Julian Glander is a 3D artist, animator, director, illustrator, and composer based in Pittsburgh. His independent animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to critical acclaim and then had a theatrical release across the US. Over the past decade, Glander has helmed projects for Adult Swim, Disney, HBO Max, and Cartoon Network. He also created the cult hit video game ART SQOOL, and his 3D illustrations appear frequently in The New Yorker. His books include 3D Sweeties, a collection of his comics, and the children’s book I Want To Be A Vase, written by Julio Torres and published by Simon & Schuster.

“Julian Glander is the perfect example for our students of where creativity can take them when they honor their unique artistic voice,” said Gretchen Schaefer, RMCAD’s Director of Creative Programming. “As such a multidisciplinary artist, we are thrilled to have Glander speak to our students about how artists in any discipline can deliver insightful social critique with humor, delight, and captivating visuals.”

The artist talk is FREE and open to the public. Register now and attend in-person or watch from the comfort of your home via RMCAD Live.
