LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Scientology Network’s VOICES FOR HUMANITY, the weekly series presenting heroic change makers from a variety of faiths, cultures and nations, working to uplift their communities, announces a new episode featuring antidrug activist Jorjão Oliveira, premiering on June 18, 2025.
VOICES FOR HUMANITY airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Scientology Network.
Jorjão Oliveira engages Brazilian youth with powerful raps about the Truth About Drugs, promoting a drug-free life through WRAPS in schools.
Brazil is the world’s largest consumer of crack cocaine, and its third-largest state, Mato Grosso, ranks second highest in the nation for drug trafficking. For many youth, drug use leads to crime, prison—or worse. Jorjão Oliveira lived that firsthand. After overcoming addiction, he founded the Genesis Rap Project, blending rap with antidrug education to enlighten and empower youth throughout Brazil.
ABOUT JORJÃO OLIVEIRA
Born in Cuiabá, the capital of Brazil’s Mato Grosso state, Jorjão Oliveira found his passion in rap music early on. He began performing, formed a group and quickly rose to fame—opening for major artists and becoming one of the most recognized rap groups in the region. But as drug addiction took hold, everything fell apart. Jorjão lost his friends, his career and eventually his freedom after multiple convictions sent him to prison. After his release, he had nothing left, except a determination to change. He founded the Genesis Rap Project to turn his life experience into a message of prevention, blending rap with themes of love, faith and transformation. Today, his entire family and a growing team work alongside him to bring the Truth About Drugs to schools, churches and communities across Brazil. His work has earned recognition from the state’s legislative assembly and support from the federal government.
Jorjão Oliveira is the founder of Genesis Rap Project.
