The 64-year-old, who twice ran unsuccessfully for mayor, died “unexpectedly” on Wednesday after reportedly falling at his cottage country home, sources told the Toronto Sun’s Joe Warmington.
A family statement sent to CP24 said Mammoliti was surrounded by kin when he died and that they were “obviously devastated” and “left with a tremendous void.”
‘Unwavering dedication to his family’
“Giorgio lived a life defined by strength, generosity and unwavering dedication to his family,” an obituary posted on the DeMarco Funeral Homes website said. “He was a man whose presence filled a room, whose wisdom guided those around him and whose laughter will echo in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
