Joyce DeWitt and Amy Yasbeck to Co-Host Star-Studded Kick-Off Event at Joe’s Pub with a Live Reading of the Pilot Episode on Monday, November 2, 2026
Live Celebrity Staged Readings in Dallas, Cleveland, and L.A. to Follow to Raise Awareness of Aortic Health
NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health announced today the kick-off of a multi-city “Three’s Company” Come And Knock On Our Door tour to mark the iconic sitcom’s upcoming 50th Anniversary on March 15, 2027, with special thanks to DLT Entertainment Ltd. The four cities on the tour include New York, Dallas, Cleveland, and Los Angeles, and will feature celebrity guests performing a live table read of the original pilot episode of the iconic sitcom.
The first stop on the tour will be New York City. Amy Yasbeck, John’s widow and founder of The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, will be joined by original cast member and “Three’s Company” star Joyce DeWitt as they co-host the Foundation’s kick-off Evening From The Heart event at Joe’s Pub on Monday, November 2, 2026. Jason Biggs will step into the role of Jack Tripper, while Richard Kline, who originated the beloved role of Larry Dallas on the show, will return for the New York City reading, this time serving as the evening’s narrator. The lineup of additional celebrity guests, to be announced at a later date, will bring the beloved series to life during these entertaining table reads. The event will celebrate John Ritter’s comedy legacy, raise funds for aortic health research and support for patients and families, and officially kick off the national “Three’s Company” 50th Anniversary Come and Knock On Our Door tour.
“This event is a celebration of John, the joy he brought to all of us through ‘Three’s Company,’ and the community that continues to carry his memory forward,” said Yasbeck. “Bringing the show to the stage 50 years later is our way to honor him while helping us continue our mission to save lives through aortic dissection awareness and research.”
Ritter died in 2003 from an acute aortic dissection that was initially misdiagnosed. Founded in his memory, The John Ritter Foundation works to prevent premature deaths from thoracic aortic disease through research, education, and advocacy.
“Having been on set during the taping of ‘Three’s Company,’ I got to see John’s extraordinary physical comedy and warmth firsthand. He brought joy to everyone in that room,” said Donald Taffner Jr., president of DLT Entertainment. “Bringing these classic scripts back to life on stage is not only a tribute to a show that meant, and continues to mean, so much to millions, but a meaningful way to honor John’s legacy and support lifesaving aortic health research.”
The event will cap a major weekend for the Foundation in New York, taking place just one day after 36 Team Ritter runners with deep connections to aortic disease and the mission of JRF take on the TCS New York City Marathon in support of the organization.
Following the New York kickoff, the “Three’s Company” 50th anniversary tour will continue in 2027, with readings in Dallas (February 27), Cleveland (March 13), and Los Angeles (September 9).
