Two unidentified young men are being sought by police after a victim was stabbed during a home invasion last month in Scarborough.

Toronto Police said they responded to a stabbing call Jan. 22 at about 11:30 p.m. in the Kennedy-Ellesmere Rds. area after two male suspects knocked on the door of a residence and forced their way inside when one of the victims answered.

Police said the suspects began assaulting the victim while demanding cash, which was eventually taken.

They said a second victim showed up and was stabbed in the stomach after one of the suspects produced a knife. The suspects then fled from the scene.

The Toronto Police hold-up squad is trying to identify the male suspects, who are both 20 to 25 years old. One is 5-foot-5 with a slim build, while the other is 5-foot-7 with a medium build.

“The suspects are considered armed and dangerous,” police said in a release issued Wednesday. “If located, do not approach and call 911 immediately.”

Hamilton cops tracking down shooting suspect

Hamilton Police are appealing for help in identifying a suspect and vehicle believed to be involved in the city’s first shooting of 2026.

Police said they responded Saturday at about 7:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a business in the East 28th St.-Fennell Ave. E. area on the East Mountain, where an injured adult male was found and taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The suspected shooter fled in a waiting vehicle.

Police said the suspect is male and between 6-foot and 6-foot-3. He was wearing a dark green puffy winter jacket, a black hoodie with a large white Adidas logo on the front, black pants and black shoes.

The suspect vehicle is a grey or silver four-door 2020 Honda Civic that was last seen fleeing northbound on Upper Sherman Ave. from Brucedale Ave. E.

Oshawa man accused of threatening co-workers

A 34-year-old Oshawa man who works at a Durham Region waste-management facility has been charged after being accused of threatening co-workers.

Durham Regional Police said its Central West Division was contacted Monday about threatening comments allegedly made to employees at the 1640 Ritson Rd. N. site by a co-worker.

Police said the suspect was located at his residence and taken into custody without incident. His legally owned firearms were also voluntarily surrendered.

Damien Johnston was charged with uttering threats.

Toronto man accused of assaulting traffic cop

A 53-year-old Toronto man is accused of assaulting a parking enforcement officer and threatening their life over the weekend in East York.

Toronto Police said the responded to an assault call Saturday in the Pape-Westwood Aves. area, where the officer was issuing a ticket to a vehicle parked on the roadway.

Police said the suspect allegedly uttered death threats and assaulted the officer, who tried to get away before being followed by the suspect.

No physical injuries were reported.

Junior Frederick Peltier was arrested and charged with uttering death threats and assaulting a peace officer.
