KONGO, The Secret Link Launches in U.S. as Audiobook Narrated by Art Brown

Solviseo Éditions brings Claude Mombo Baros’s historical and literary saga to U.S. audiences Sept. 15, led by the audiobook narrated by Art Brown, with paperback and eBook companion editions.

BORDEAUX, France, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Some stories cross borders. Others cross centuries.

On Sept. 15, KONGO, The Secret Link — Volume 1: To the West reaches U.S. audiences in a full-length audiobook narrated by American narrator Art Brown, bringing Claude Mombo Baros’s journey across ancient Africa, Europe and America to life in English.

Published by Solviseo Éditions, the audiobook leads the English-language launch of KONGO. Paperback and eBook editions are available as companion formats for readers who also wish to experience the story on the page.

The novel moves between two eras and three destinies. In an ancient African world, Zoba, an ingenious but disillusioned thinker, and Kengi, a young warrior and determined commander, confront the collapse of the world they know.

Centuries later, Louis, a gifted student, leaves Africa for France and then the United States. Yet visions, symbols and fragments of inherited memory gradually suggest that his personal story may have begun long before he was born.

Across these three lives, KONGO, The Secret Link explores exile, ambition, migration, family legacy and cultural memory — and the inheritances people carry without always knowing them.

At the heart of the story lies one question: What invisible links — memories, transmissions, inheritances and imaginations — continue to unite peoples when history seems to have separated them?

The English edition was translated by Eduardo Jiménez. Art Brown gives the novel’s intertwined timelines and characters an American voice.

“Audio gives KONGO another dimension,” said Claude Mombo Baros. “The story is built around journeys, memory, rhythm and voices crossing time. Hearing those lives embodied by Art Brown allows the listener to enter that world in a different way.”

Claude Mombo Baros is a French-Congolese novelist and founder of Solviseo Éditions. Following a career in finance, insurance, risk management and leadership, he turned to fiction to explore what keeps individuals — and peoples — connected across distance, difference and rupture.
