As reported by the Toronto Sun‘s Bryan Passifiume, this occurred just hours after the police themselves had announced the breakup of a second alleged ISIS-linked terror plot targeting Toronto Jews in recent months.

First, even if Toronto Police believe there are no current threats, why would they announce it to those who may be plotting an attack that is, as of yet, unknown?
Second, the police know the enormity of the ongoing threat, which is why — to their credit — they’ve deployed field commands to protect Jewish neighbourhoods for more than two years.
Third, Toronto Police hate crime data indicate Jews have plenty to worry about given that reported hate crimes against them have skyrocketed since Hamas’ attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, in which the terrorist group murdered 1,200 people and took 250 more hostage.

Numbers even worse across Canada
Nationally, the numbers are worse with Statistics Canada reporting that over the last two years, 70% of all police-reported hate crimes based on religion were aimed at Jews, who make up just 0.9% of Canada’s population.
According to the annual audit of hate crimes conducted by the Canadian Jewish advocacy organization B’nai Brith since 1982, online and face-to-face harassment, vandalism and violence aimed at Jews increased by 125% to a record 6,219 incidents last year compared to 2,769 in 2022 before Hamas’ terrorist attack.

All of it is the result of hate-filled propaganda that blames Jews in Canada for the actions of the Israeli government and military in Gaza, the equivalent of blaming Muslims in Canada for the terrorism of Hamas and other Islamist terrorist groups in Israel.
It led to the ISIS-inspired massacre of Jews celebrating Hanukkah on Australia’s Bondi Beach on Dec. 14, which could happen anywhere, including Canada.
