Canada Soccer says the injury Stephen Eustáquio sustained in Tuesday’s 1-0 friendly loss to the United States does not appear to be serious after the Swansea midfielder underwent an X-ray.
Eustáquio fell hard to the turf following a challenge by Gio Reyna in the 40th minute at Allianz Field.
Canada’s vice-captain stayed in the game temporarily before coach Jesse Marsch replaced him with Mathieu Choinière at halftime.

Eustáquio, 29, had his shoulder examined Tuesday night in Minnesota before returning to Swansea, where he will undergo further assessment.
