The mass murder and wounding of Jewish people at Bondi Beach in Australia could happen anywhere, including Canada. What are our political leaders (e.g. Mark Carney) doing to stop the alarming increase of antisemitism in this country? Nothing!

Minimum wage nonsense

Can we please stop talking minimum wage! There’s a reason people can’t dine for $9.99 at McDonald’s anymore. There’s a reason grocery prices are up. Minimum wage is for children living with their parents, trying to get a down payment for a car. Minimum wage is not meant to be a wage to buy a home and raise children. Come on, NDP, do better. There’s a reason your party is dying.

Walk the walk

If most of these recall petition advocates are so hot under the collar over Premier Smith’s move to get the teachers back to work, why haven’t they chosen solidarity with the union by pulling their children out of these ‘undemocratically mandated’ classrooms until the teachers have chosen acceptance of a contract? That way, they would be accommodating the union’s demand for smaller class sizes!

(That would be ironic, but don’t hold your breath)

Ignoring the voters

How is it these politicians are allowed to spit in our face? They were elected by people who supported them when they made their case and represented their party. If they no longer represent that party, they should step down until they are once again elected.

Nothing good from AI

Time’s Person of the Year are reckless thieves who destroy IP and ensure we can no longer trust our eyes. Video, photo, art and writing have all been assaulted by generative AI, doing nothing productive for society but making the oligarchs richer.

Driving the point home

Recently we decided to buy a new car. One of the ‘must haves’ was not to support any U.S. manufacturer. We purchased a vehicle made in, or should I say, assembled in, Canada. Not a big deal, but we did our bit to support Canadian auto workers and got the satisfaction of giving that American bully-boy the finger.
