The agency that discovered Ashton Kutcher and Karlie Kloss becomes Brain-Body Therapy’s first official organizational partner, providing complimentary app subscriptions to its models
LOS ANGELES and ST. LOUIS, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Brain-Body Therapy, a mental wellness app combining counselor-developed guidance with structured movement, today announced a partnership with Mother Model Management, the St. Louis-based mother agency known for discovering and developing talent including Ashton Kutcher and Karlie Kloss. Through the partnership, Mother Model Management will provide complimentary Brain-Body Therapy subscriptions to its models, giving them access to guided tools designed to help manage stress, anxiety and emotional well-being through movement.
The collaboration marks Brain-Body Therapy’s first official organizational partnership and formalizes an existing relationship between the organizations. Mother Model Management has recommended Brain-Body Therapy since the platform launched and previously included the app in its official model guide.
“Models work in an industry that can involve constant travel, rejection, pressure, comparison and uncertainty, but conversations about supporting their mental well-being have not always kept pace,” said Rio Wilson, Founder and CEO of Brain-Body Therapy. “Mother Model Management was already recommending the platform to its models, so this partnership grew from genuine belief in what we’re building. Now we can make that support even more accessible.”
“Mother has the longevity and track record we do because of our commitment to excellence and looking out for the best interest of the model first and foremost. When we learned about Brain-Body Therapy and understood how vital it can be to support the mental and physical wellbeing of this professional, we were 100% onboard,” says Mary Clarke, Co-Founder of Mother Model Management.
As a mother agency, Mother Model Management discovers and develops talent, helps models build careers and portfolios, and places them with major fashion agencies worldwide. Its models work throughout the year and currently appear on international runways for leading designers during fashion month.
“Fashion month is one of the most demanding stretches of the year for a model,” Wilson continued. “New York, London, Milan and Paris move back-to-back, with castings creating additional pressure. Self-care cannot be something you get to after the season ends. It has to be something you can practice in the middle of it.”
Bringing Emotional Fitness Into the Modeling Industry
The partnership launches during Self-Care Awareness Month, when Brain-Body Therapy is encouraging people to view self-care as something actively practiced rather than reserved for moments of burnout or crisis.
Wilson defines emotional fitness as the ability to regulate emotions, recover from stress, build resilience, maintain meaningful connections and develop habits that support long-term well-being. She developed the Five Pillars of Emotional Fitness as a framework for practicing those skills:
- Recovery: How quickly do you recover after stress?
- Regulation: Can you calm your emotions instead of immediately reacting?
- Resilience: How well do you bounce back after setbacks?
- Connection: Are your relationships strengthening or draining you?
- Momentum: Are your daily habits moving you toward feeling better?
“We’ve been measuring exercise by its slowest results instead of its fastest ones,” Wilson said. “You may not see a physical transformation after one workout, but you might feel calmer, clearer or more energized. Your workout isn’t only training your muscles. It can also help you practice how you respond to and recover from stress.”
A 2024 systematic review and network meta-analysis published in The BMJ, examining 218 studies involving more than 14,000 participants, found exercise was an effective treatment for depression, with walking or jogging, yoga and strength training among the activities associated with reductions in depressive symptoms.
Brain-Body Therapy does not position movement as a replacement for therapy or medication. The platform combines guided movement with counselor-developed coaching as an additional tool people can incorporate into broader mental wellness routines.
