Toronto Police are requesting the public’s help in finding a man wanted for aggravated assault.

Police responded on Monday to a call for an assault in the O’Connor Dr.-Bermondsey Rd. area, where the victim and the accused, who are known to each other, were allegedly involved in an altercation with the accused repeatedly assaulting the victim.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Alexander Paupanekis, 24, of Toronto, is wanted for aggravated assault. He is described as 6-foot-2 with a heavy build and black hair.

MISSISSAUGA MAN ACCUSED OF DENTAL OFFICE FRAUD
A 36-year-old Mississauga man is facing fraud and other charges after a probe into a former employee of an Oakville dental office.
Halton Regional Police announced the charges after a “lengthy financial crime investigation” that began in April 2025 over allegations that a person was redirecting business funds into “various bank accounts under his control.”

Police said they found that more than $235,000 were allegedly redirected to the employee’s accounts between May 2023 and January 2025.
Ngoc Tuan Nguyen was charged on May 1 with fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and laundering proceeds of crime.
“Investigators believe the accused may have been employed at additional dental offices and are concerned there may be more victims,” Halton police said in a news release.

YOUTHS CHARGED IN SHOOTING PROBE
Toronto Police have charged three 17-year-olds from the GTA with various offences following a firearm discharge investigation.
Cops said that on April 13 at about 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the Lawrence Ave. E.-Morningside Ave. area, where it’s alleged that two people discharged firearms in the direction of a motor vehicle and then fled from the scene.

No injuries were reported.
On Friday, the three youths were arrested by officers in an unrelated investigation.
A male youth from Whitby has been charged with six firearm-related offences and one for breach of probation.
A male youth from Oshawa has been charged with five firearm-related offences plus two counts of failure to comply with a release order and one of failure to comply with an undertaking.
A male youth from Toronto has been charged with three firearm-related offences and two counts of breach of probation.

BULLETS FIRED IN BOWMANVILLE
Durham Regional Police are searching for at least one suspect after a residence was shot up in Bowmanville.
On Saturday at about 4:30 a.m., members of the East Division responded to an armed person call at a residence in the area of Mann St. and Tucker Rd. A male exited a four-door sedan and fired multiple shots toward a residence before re-entering his vehicle and fleeing.
No injuries have been reported to police.
Anyone who was in the area between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. and has cellphone, dashcam, surveillance footage or other information about the incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-579-1520, Ext. 1605. Anonymous information can also be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers.
