Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who hit two women in the Yonge St. and Parkview Ave. area late Friday afternoon.

According to police, the woman said as she was walking up the street, a man passed her and hit her in the back of the head unprovoked. While she was calling police, she said the man kept walking down the street and then hit another woman.

Police say there may be additional victims.
Police describe the suspect as 5-foot-7, 25 to 35 years old, with a black moustache. Man dead, another charged, in west-end collision
Police say a 28-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle that went through an intersection in the Dundas St. W. and Acorn Ave. area.
Toronto Police said a man driving a grey Toyota Rav4 went through the intersection and hit the man while he was walking across the street.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Joseph Daniel Alvarado Portillo, 25, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance. Police are asking the public to share any security footage or dash-cam footage of the incident.
Fugitive nabbed in Alliston
Provincial police say a federal offender who has been on the lam since mid-January has been aprehended in Alliston, Ont.
Thomas Hackett was arrested by the Nottawasaga OPP while serving a two-year sentence for assault, DUI and failure to comply charges.
The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad thanked the public for their help finding the fugitive.
